Background
Our federal customer is modernizing its internal web presence through the implementation of a cloud-based content management system designed to improve usability, streamline communications, and reduce administrative overhead. This effort will establish a more efficient and standardized web environment utilizing modern content templates, enhanced user experience capabilities, and centralized content management.

Scope of Work
We are seeking an experienced Interactive and Web-Based Services (UX) WordPress Developer and Administrator to support the design, development, migration, and administration of a modernized enterprise web environment.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and document website requirements, develop design concepts, and build a new cloud-based web platform supporting both internal/external audiences.

Responsibilities include migrating legacy content from an existing on-premises HTML/Java-based environment into an enterprise WordPress platform while developing standardized templates and department landing pages to improve consistency, usability, and long-term maintainability.

The candidate will also:
  • Develop and present website design recommendations and modernization proposals for front office leadership review and approval
  • Configure and manage role-based access controls for internal and external content visibility
  • Support the development of both open and closed viewing environments
  • Implement functionality supporting newsletters, leadership blogs, dynamic announcements, and organizational communications
  • Create administrative procedures and documentation to enable departments to independently manage and maintain website content moving forward

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Required Qualifications
The selected individual will be responsible for requirements gathering, website design, content migration, and deployment of the new enterprise WordPress environment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Intelligence Community (IC) or equivalent experience supporting WordPress web design and content management
  • Demonstrated experience migrating content and implementing access controls within enterprise content management systems
  • Experience supporting Section 508 accessibility compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to interact directly with customers and incorporate stakeholder feedback into website design and functionality
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated creativity in modern web design, user experience, and digital communication strategies
  • Experience developing and administering enterprise WordPress environments
  • Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and mission stakeholders

Travel
Local travel may be required on an as-needed basis within the local area of performance to support customer meetings, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement activities.
